What you taste during the wine tasting

During a tasting we are happy to let you sample five white and five red wines from different countries. We tell you about the origin of each wine, about the grapes and the winemaker, and about food and wine pairings that lift a dish to a higher level. Feel free to ask all your questions — nothing is too much. It is not about fancy words, but about discovering for yourself what you enjoy. For dessert we pour a delicious port and a fantastic liqueur, so that your tasting is rounded off in style.

Discovering what you enjoy

A wine tasting at De Kasteelhoeve is deliberately accessible. Whether you are a seasoned wine lover or just beginning to taste: everyone is welcome and no one need feel awkward about their knowledge. We take the time to guide you through the differences between wines, the influence of region and grape, and what actually makes a wine suit a dish. That way you go home not only with a fond memory, but also with handy knowledge for the next bottle you open yourself.

Inside the tasting room or outside in the garden

The atmosphere makes the tasting complete. In good weather we pour the wines outside in the garden of the farmstead, with the rolling Reest valley as a backdrop. Is the weather less kind? Then you take a seat in the warm, rural tasting room. A wine tasting is par excellence something to experience together: with your partner during a romantic weekend away, or with friends who love to discover something new. De Kasteelhoeve has been importing quality wine from small, dedicated winegrowers since 1999 and has by now been able to welcome more than 100,000 customers. You taste that years of experience and the personal bond with the winemakers in every glass we pour for you. Not anonymous mass wine, but carefully selected bottles with a story. It is precisely that personal selection that means you taste wines here that you will not just come across in the average shop.

A tasting combines excellently with the other pleasures of the Reest valley. During the day take a walk or cycle ride through the beautiful surroundings, and round off the day with a relaxed tasting in the garden or the tasting room. Booking a tasting with your stay

If you are staying at Bed & Wijn, you can easily add a wine tasting to your stay for €5 per person. Would you like to book an extensive tasting separately, then that is possible for €17.50 per person via our webshop.
